Michael Beygelman, founder of Claro Analytics and executive vice president of product at WilsonHCG, spoke with reporters at the Forbes Technology Council about common but inaccurate pieces of advice given to tech leaders.
Beygelman said leaders in the tech industry are often told to hire for fit and train for skill. However, he suggested this advice isn't relevant to tech leaders.
"Business moves too fast and you need people who can do the job today, not one to three years from now—especially in a technical context with rapid application development sprints," Beygelman added.
